CONDITIONS OF ENTRY


RIGHT OF ENTRY
This is a private resort. The management reserves the absolute right to refuse entry or terminate occupation in respect of any person.
PAYMENT
A deposit equal to 50% of the accommodation value is payable in advance in order to secure your booking. The full outstanding balance is due on or prior to arrival. No chalet keys will be given out before full payment is received. You are liable for the full period as reserved.
Deposits and rentals are non-refundable except at Management’s discretion.
BREAKAGE DEPOSIT
*R500.00 refundable breakage deposit in addition to accommodation amount, refunded after Chalet inspection. (CHALETS)
*R350.00 refundable breakage deposit in addition to accommodation amount, refunded after Cabana inspection. (CABANAS)
*Hall Hire = R650.00 for the weekend
*Kitchen Hire = R850.00 for the weekend
*Kitchen Breakage Deposit = R1000.00 (Refunded after inspection)
*Group Bookings on requests)
CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of premature departure you will be charged for the full original booking.
Cancellation 0 – 14 days prior to arrival, or no show – visitor forfeits 100% of deposit paid.
Cancellation 15 – 28 days prior to arrival – visitor forfeits 75% of deposit paid or 25% of full quote value (whichever is greater).
Cancellation 29+ days prior to arrival – visitor forfeits 50% of deposit paid or 25% of full quote value (whichever is greater).
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE TIMES
Chalets are available from 14h00 on day of arrival. They must be vacated by no later than 10h00 on day of departure.
NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS
Chalets: The number of occupants is strictly limited to the number of people booked and paid for. Each additional person will be charged R100 per person per night. The number of occupants is limited to the number of beds available. Children over the age of two are included in the number of occupants allowed per chalet.
Caravans/Tents: Only one Caravan with attached awnings, or one large tent or two small tents are permitted per site. Maximum of 6 people per site.
DAY VISITORS
Day visitors to the resort are required to obtain a day visitors pass at a cost of R25.00 per person per day, obtainable at the office. Day visitor’s hours are strictly from 10h00 to 22h00. Visitors who remain on the premises after 22h00 will be charged an additional R100.00 per person, per night.
Residents are held responsible for the good behaviour of their visitors while they are in the resort.
Trespassers: Any person not in possession of an entrance receipt will be liable to eviction and prosecution as a trespasser on private property.
INVENTORY LIST
Kindly check the list on arrival. You will be held responsible for any missing items on departure. All items are clean and in working order. Please leave them in the same condition, or a fee may be charged for cleaning/replacement.
CARE OF CHALETS
Do not use rough scourers or steel wool on baths, basins, and kitchen tops etc. Use only Handy Andy etc and a sponge. Damage to baths, tops, surfaces, walls etc will be for your account.
Care of Caravan Sites: No PVC or plastic groundsheets may be used. For the sake of the grass only woven groundsheets are permitted.
NOISE
Complete silence is to be observed after 10.00pm. In addition, at all times visitors are expected to show consideration to their neighbours by keeping noise levels to a minimum. The use of MUSIC of any form whatsoever is prohibited at all times. Bad behaviour and excessive noise are not tolerated; if it continues, the police will be called and the offenders evicted. If you have a complaint, please speak to Management immediately.
TERMINATION OF OCCUPANCY
Management reserves the right to terminate the occupancy of any resident/visitor without notice for failing to comply with the resort’s Conditions of Entry, or disturbing the tranquillity of the resort or the comfort of other residents.
RISK
All persons making use of this resort and its facilities do so at their own risk. The management accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to persons or property.
SWIMMING IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. Children entering the lagoon or sea MUST BE UNDER ADULT supervision at all times. BEWARE OF DANGEROUS SWIMMING CONDITIONS AND STRONG CURRENTS. Keep away from the rocks.
VEHICLES
Motorcycles may not be used for transport around the resort. Motor driven boats are not permitted on the lagoon. Boats and trailers are not allowed. Parking is available on request.
Drive DEAD SLOW inside the resort to safeguard the children and restrict dust.
FIREARMS
Firearms must be handed in for safe keeping.
FISHERMEN
Cleaning of fish in the resort is not permitted; please clean the fish on the rocks.
LAUNDRY
Laundry facilities are available. Please obtain a coupon from the office.
DOGS AND PETS
Only small dogs/pets are allowed, by prior arrangement. Please keep dogs on leads at all times and pick up after them.
SERVANTS
Servants may only be hired through Managements. Full responsibility rests with the owner.
FAUNA & FLORA
DO NOT FEED THE MONKEYS, as it makes them pests and they cease to be cute. Take care of all growing things in the resort and protect our wildlife. This is a declared Nature Reserve.

SPECIAL REQUESTS
WATER: Please conserve water; the resort is not on mains water! Do not wash your car at the resort.
DO keep the ablution blocks clean and free of sand. Use the outside taps for removal of sand. Children younger than six must be accompanied by an adult when using the ablutions.
PLEASE USE THE BINS for all refuse, litter, bottle tops, bones etc.
PLEASE SWITCH OFF THE LIGHTS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CHALET WHEN NOT IN USE.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR GEYSER IS SWITCHED ON, ON ARRIVAL AND SWITCHED OFF, ON DEPARTURE.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR RECEIPT AS YOU MAY BE ASKED FOR IT WHEN EXITING/ENTERING THE RESORT DURING YOUR STAY.
